Make a short animation related to kindness.

http://www.annecy.org/annecy-2010/take-part/youtube-contest
Create an original animated short film with the theme “Animation, land of freedom”.
Length: 5 minutes or less (must be at least 1.5 minutes for my purposes)
Prize: a trip to the Annecy Festival, from 6th to 11th June 2011

Choice 3: Vocab Film Festival
http://memelabs.com/vocabfilmfest/
For this, you must choose at least three (3) vocab words and create a 30 second animation for each, based on the monthly challenge theme. Please note, there is a different challenge for each month, and you will not know the exact theme until April 1. Therefore, these storyboards will need to be completed very soon after you learn the theme (by April 4), and you will not be able to start until April 1. However, you can become familiar with the words and think about ideas based on previous challenges.
Length: 30 seconds each
Prize: $1000, plus other prizes

Choice 4: Independent Study
Create an original animated short film based on the topic of your choosing. If you choose this option, you must submit a brief proposal (1-2 paragraphs) describing the project, for my approval, before you complete your storyboards. Finished film must be at least 1.5 minutes in length.
